Main purpose of the role:
We are looking for a Junior Finance Assistant who is looking to progress their career within an exciting very fast-growing e-commerce company working for both of our brands, AYBL and Because of Alice. You will join a finance team supporting a very fast-growing group helping to improve processes and controls, supporting the rest of the business as it moves into the next chapter of growth.
Roles & responsibilities:
* Processing both sales and purchase invoices, ensuring accurate documentation and entry into the accounting system (Xero)
* Bank reconciliations including purchases via Soldo
* Ensure invoices correctly mapped from A2X in Xero
* Assisting with month end procedures and reconciliations
* Assisting with the statutory audit as necessary ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations
* Contribute ways to develop and improve the financial and commercial controls and processes
* General admin duties as required
Requirements:
* Ideally at least 1 year's industry experience
* AAT Level 3 qualified and opportunity for AAT Level 4 apprenticeship (following successful probation period)
* Experience using accounting software (Xero preferred)
* Attention to detail and able to show initiative when solving problems
* Ability to prioritise workload and remain organised in a fast-paced environment
* Maintain confidentiality and always conduct themselves in a professional manner
* Driven work ethic, taking ownership of your work/role
* Excellent written English and verbal communication skills
* Strong maths skills and comfortable working with large amounts of data and competent with Excel (essential)
