We are looking for a compassionate, organised, and proactive individual who is passionate about making a meaningful impact on the lives of young people facing complex difficulties.

The student body includes individuals with additional learning needs such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and social communication difficulties.
The school is committed to providing a nurturing environment that allows every student to thrive academically and socially.

- Policy Development & Coordination: Work closely with the SENCO to assist in the development and implementation of SEN policies. Ensure the day-to-day operation of these policies aligns with the needs of individual students with SEN or disabilities.
- Safeguarding & Welfare: Safeguard and promote the welfare of students, ensuring adherence to school policies and the staff code of conduct.
- Professional Guidance: Offer guidance to staff, collaborate with parents, and liaise with external agencies to ensure that each pupil receives comprehensive support tailored to their needs.
- Learning Programme Delivery: Deliver segments of the learning programme to individual students, supporting areas identified by teaching and wellbeing staff to enhance their learning experience.
- Break & Lunchtime Supervision: Supervise students during break and lunchtime, promoting positive social interaction and supporting the development of self-esteem.
- Wellbeing & Learning Assistance: Support the emotional and social development of students by stepping into the role of a wellbeing and learning assistant as required.
- Supportive Environment Creation: Contribute to the creation of a positive, nurturing, and inclusive environment that encourages student engagement, independence, and confidence.
- Collaboration & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, track pupil progress, and contribute to individual support plans. Ensure all information is in line with safeguarding and SEN policies.
Requirements:
- Experience in SEN & SEMH: Proven experience working with students with a range of SEN needs, particularly those with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
- Strong Communication & Team Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to provide holistic support for each pupil.
