Position Overview
We have an opportunity for an experienced electrical qualified engineer to join a national provider of safety equipment and devices to the building services sector. The purpose of the position will be to provide a seamless engineering service, whilst assisting Senior Engineers and other colleagues, to create an excellent customer service experience.
The company has a proud 30+ year history of developing and installing a range of safety products to the building services sector and in more recent years have fully embraced the use of modern electronic and electrical control systems to ensure their products meet the safety and reliability standard levels required to be regarded as a lead supplier of choice in their field.
Often working in small teams or as a single engineer, the position will be working directly on customers' sites maintaining, commissioning, installing, and testing multiple products and devices. This will require good liaison and communication skills with customers, suppliers, and internal project coordinators to ensure the effective delivery of projects.
Duties
1. Ensure that high service standards are maintained, and Health and Safety legislation is adhered to.
2. Be able to competently commission and fault-find any installations after training.
3. Consult with the technical department and support the action rollout of any new procedures or complex projects.
4. Be a role model and ambassador for the organisation when representing the business externally.
5. Ability to deal with site issues in a professional and timely manner.
6. Able to proactively deal with site situations in a timely manner to ensure results are achieved when Engineering issues arise.
7. Assist with training of both direct and indirect engineers and apprentices.
8. Support other Engineers by providing on-site coaching and training.
Requirements
1. Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent/construction background.
2. City & Guilds 2330 & 2360.
3. Extended experience of working with electrical systems (3 Years).
4. Competence and confidence to pragmatically problem solve on site.
5. A full UK Driving Licence with at least 2 years of driving experience.
6. Good communication skills.
7. Good report-writing skills.
8. Ability to record notes, information, and expenses via a software portal.
9. Have full UK Right to Work Status.
