Social Care Team Manager Siamo Recruitment are currently working with a local organisation who are in need of a Social Care Team Manager to assist the section manager in managing the Safeguarding and Legal Team, whilst providing services to Children and families in need of care and support across the County. This is a temporary but ongoing opportunity with a potential permanent role in the pipeline, the role is to start ideally immediately with the ability to travel across the County Borough. Details Full time, temporary ongoing. Located in the County of Conwy Hourly rate of £36 Duties and responsibilities Take responsibility for management of casework and ensuring social work practice complies with statutory responsibilities. Assist Section Manager with delivery of social work services and deputise for Section Manager when they are unavailable. Assist Section Manager’s management of team budgets and authorise spending according to service criteria, legislation and financial regulations. Be responsible for the formal supervision of a number of social workers and provide informal supervision when required to the wider team, ensuring that supervision discussion and decision making is recorded. Bring to the attention of Section Manager any matters of concern or special interest and seek guidance and support as appropriate with particularly complex decision making. To be responsible for establishing good working relationships both internally and externally and providing excellent customer service. Skills and experience Must be registered on Social Care Wales. DIPSW or equivalent. Management qualification. Awareness of current legislation and guidance in social work. Ability to prepare reports that are of high quality and fit for purpose. Proficient with word processing programmes and child care databases. Skills in workload management, prioritisation and time management.
