What you'll do
Your key accountabilities will include:
1. Act as business partner on human rights with two of the four key clusters within the Foods business.
2. Lead on our strategic 'protect' pillar, which includes the M&S Worker Voice Programme and Human Rights Due Diligence Programme.
3. Manage relevant workstreams under our 'enhance' pillar, working closely with category teams on opportunities and active programmes to enhance livelihoods.
4. Be a passionate advocate for human rights within the business, driving internal engagement as a recognised subject matter expert.
5. Work closely with our suppliers and key external stakeholders to build capacity and drive industry change where needed.
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include:
1. Experience of working in ethical trade and human rights.
2. Passionate about driving progress on human rights and an ability to manage and motivate internal and external stakeholders.
3. Knowledgeable about key standards, topics, and challenges on human rights and responsible sourcing.
4. Experience of working collaboratively with external stakeholders (including certifiers, NGOs, and multi-stakeholder initiatives).
5. Strong communications and engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior colleagues.
