We’re seeking a dedicated Laundry & Sewing Industries Instructor to join our team at HMP Millsike. In this rewarding role, you’ll oversee a team of up to 35 learners, guiding them through practical, hands-on training while supporting their development through the Employability Passport programme. This is a meaningful opportunity to help reduce re-offending by equipping individuals with valuable skills for future employment and personal growth.
Lead learners through their training journey, identifying individual needs and providing one-to-one coaching to enhance their skills and self-development.
Ensure health and safety standards are upheld, conducting risk assessments as necessary to create a secure working environment.
Inventory and Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the laundry and sewing workshop, monitoring inventory levels to ensure consistent workflow.
Strong background in textile industry, with supervisory experience within a production or similar environment.
Experience in conducting risk assessments and maintaining high safety standards.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a commitment to supporting learner development.
