The Acute Physiotherapy Team at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic physiotherapist to join our acute medical and surgical physiotherapy Band 6 rotation. The rotations offered include specialisms within the acute medical and surgical teams, which include being part of an award-winning, forward-thinking frailty MDT; working on ITU and the surgical wards; and joining the fast-paced Front Door and A&E team, to name a few. In addition, there is opportunity to work within complimentary rehabilitation and community services such as neurological rehabilitation and community rehabilitation. We are looking for a physiotherapist who has a specialist interest in the management of the acute patient and who has experience of working in a multi-disciplinary setting, as part of an integrated team.
This post will be situated within South Warwickshire. Our main base is Warwick Hospital; however, some of the rotation opportunities will be based at other sites including Leamington and Stratford Hospitals.
There is a requirement to undertake weekend working and overnight on-call.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To provide a high standard physiotherapy service to patients in the specialist area.
2. To work as an accountable and autonomous practitioner, holding responsibility for own caseload.
3. To work in conjunction with the Pathway and Team leads in planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating the Physiotherapy service within the specialty on a day-to-day basis.
4. To take a role in the provision of support and clinical supervision of less experienced physiotherapy staff and undergraduate students.
5. To deputise for the Team leaders as required.
6. To keep accurate records of patient contact using written records and electronic data capture.
7. To contribute to out of hours working as required.
8. To maintain own competency to practice.
