An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Estates Manager, PFI & Contracts to work within the Estates & Facilities department at Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Trust.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will support the Estates Manager, PFI & Contracts in the day-to-day management of 2 Hard FM PFI contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, key performance indicators, statutory and mandatory regulations and assist the Trust to fulfil its strategic and operational aims.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The postholder will support the Estates Manager, PFI & Contracts in overseeing the performance of contractors. In particular, ensure that Hard FM contracts are compliant with contract specifications, include pre-planned maintenance regimes and statutory and mandatory obligations and other regulatory requirements.

* Graduate Masters Degree or equivalent relevant experience
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD)
Desirable criteria
* PRINCE2 qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
* Significant experience on the delivery of Estates & Facilities management services within a healthcare environment.
* Considerable Estates & Facilities management of contracts and monitoring procedures and methods.
* Significant experience of undertaking audits in relation to contract monitoring, compliance with KPI's
* Significant experience of using CAFM systems
Desirable criteria
* Experience of working in a PFI environment
Knowledge and Skills
Essential criteria
* Proven knowledge of H&S, water regulations, fire regulations and other relevant legislation in relation to health premises
* Knowledge of HTM's and other health related guidance on Estates management
* Good understanding of contractual and commercial aspects of hard facilities services
* Ability to cope with difficult situations, differing demands and deadlines
* In depth knowledge of project management methodologies and techniques
* Able to understand drawings and use Autocad to view.
* Excellent IT skills including Excel, Word
* Ability to define, collate and turn data into management information
* Good communication and negotiation skills
* Strategic awareness
* Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
* Excellent report writing skills
