Job Title: Production Planner Location: Lincoln, on site Shift: A Shift: 06:00-18:00 Week 1: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday Week 2: Sunday, Monday & Tuesday Salary: £35,000 per annum Are you an organised and detail-oriented professional with a passion for production planning and scheduling? We’re looking for a Production Planner to join our team and ensure seamless coordination across departments to optimise workflow, labour, and resources. Key Responsibilities: Plan and schedule workflows for each department based on demands and lead times. Provide agency labour forecasts based on supply chain requirements and staff availability Ensure adequate production materials are available to meet operational needs. Attend daily cross-department and multi-site stock meetings, collaborate on shift planning with ops, technical, engineering, hygiene, procurement, and supply chain teams. Control labour planning in alignment with production needs, optimizing efficiency based on SKUs and required hours. Monitor and update provisional data in real-time to maintain an accurate capacity model and labour plans. Work closely with Production Managers to manage holidays, rota schedules, and ensure adequate shift coverage. Maintain and audit NAV, payroll systems, and relevant reports for accuracy. Investigate and reduce rework in collaboration with the production and despatch team. Ensure compliance with line hygiene and integrate hygiene team requirements into the production plan. Coordinate with Maintenance to schedule line availability for inspections and preventative maintenance. Attend daily site meetings and report on order profiles, daily and night shifts, and production forecasts. What You’ll Need: Experience in production planning, scheduling, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and coordination abilities. Proficiency in planning tools and systems (e.g., NAV, payroll, scheduling software). Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
