As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking an experienced and motivated litigator to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
Our dynamic, well-established and friendly Private Client Team is looking for an enthusiastic, driven and highly skilled individual to assist them in offering exceptional legal services to their clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career and take on a diverse caseload across a broad spectrum of legal disputes.
We have a mature hybrid working model here at J&P, with a focus on a healthy work/life balance. This role can also be based in our Blackheath, Sidcup or Beckenham offices.
You will be responsible for handling a varied and interesting caseload, advising clients on a range of matters, including but not limited to contentious trust and probate, employment, property & land disputes, landlord & tenant, as well as debt recovery and/or contractual consumer disputes. You will be responsible for providing high-quality legal advice to clients, managing cases from inception through to conclusion, and representing clients in court when necessary. Your strong communication and negotiation skills will be key, as you will be liaising directly with clients and other legal professionals to reach favourable outcomes.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* You will have 5+ years of post-qualification experience in managing a variety of litigation cases, ideally with a mix of commercial, civil, and property disputes.
* You must have a strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures, including pre-action protocols, court processes, and alternative dispute resolution.
* You will have proven experience managing a diverse caseload of general litigation matters for private clients.
* You will have excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
* You must have a client-focused approach with the ability to build strong relationships and provide exceptional service.
* You will have the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
* You must have a strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
Qualifications
* You must be a qualified solicitor with experience in general litigation or a related area of law.
Up to 10% Solicitor Bonus

Pension
All employees are entitled to join our auto enrolment pension scheme. You will be enrolled in the pension after 3 months of employment dependent on age and salary.
Generous Annual Leave
You will receive an additional day’s holiday after every two years of service to a total maximum of 30 days.

If your birthday falls on a working day, you can have that day off as an extra day’s leave.
Maternity, Paternity and Adoption Leave

Legal Fees
After one year’s service, you will be entitled to a contribution towards legal fees.
