We have a fantastic opportunity for a Band 6 role in Nutritional Support here at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford. We will also consider Band 5 dietitians who have at least 6 months postgraduate experience, and training will be given for competencies to be completed for dietitians to reach this Band 6 role.
We would love you to join our team in this nutrition support role to help you expand your knowledge in many areas including Gastroenterology, Surgery, Head and Neck Cancers, Oncology, Critical Care, and Burns.
You will be working within established multidisciplinary teams providing expert nutritional advice to patients while supporting and educating the wider team to provide patient-centered care. There will be support in all areas from Advanced Specialist Dietitians to facilitate your learning.
Main Duties of the Job
1. To work as an autonomous Specialist Dietitian and provide a comprehensive and effective dietetic service.
2. To work closely with the multi-disciplinary teams.
3. To provide assessment, management, and education for patients requiring specialist dietetic and nutrition intervention.
4. To provide training and advice to healthcare professionals on the dietary management of their patients.
5. To audit and evaluate the outcome of the service provided.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential:
* BSc (Hons) or postgraduate equivalent in Dietetics
* HCPC registration
Experience Essential:
* Minimum 6 months experience post-graduation
Desirable:
* Evidence of Multi Professional Team Working
Knowledge Essential:
* Previous experience in an Acute Trust
Desirable:
* Evidence of CPD and presentation skills
Communication Essential:
* Excellent communication and written skills
