Clinical Psychologist
Salary: £45,240 to £61,859 pro rata (depending on skills, experience, and qualifications)
Permanent contact: 32 hours per week (ideally across 4 days, but open to discussion)
Location: Stoke-on-Trent and Wilmslow Cheshire – Semi-flexible remote working options can be discussed.
Teaching Personnel is working with a large SEN school, with pupils aged 6-19 years. The school is looking for a fun, passionate, dedicated, and driven professional to join the team. The clinical team consists of three assistant psychologists across the two services who work closely with the SENDCo, SLT, Pastoral Leads, Teachers, and young people. They offer a unique workplace environment embedded with a supportive culture, positive ethos, and strong teamwork. The post will involve undertaking Clinical Psychology/Psychotherapy duties while adhering to professional and regulatory guidelines. You will carry out assessments, design individualized plans and strategies, implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, write reports, conduct multi-professional reviews, and provide advice, information, and training to staff, parents, commissioners, and other agencies. You will be supported by Assistant Psychologists and a school staff team of nurturing and enthusiastic Teachers and TAs committed to providing the best. You and your team will provide a high-quality service within the schools, working with others to promote the well-being and best interests of the young people. The essential criteria include being an HCPC Registered practitioner psychologist of clinical, educational, or counseling, previous experience working with children in special educational needs/mental health settings, good understanding of ethical principles, ability to apply psychological theories to interventions, adapt communication to work with young people, professionals, and families, work confidently in a team and independently, and accept and use supervision effectively.
