Job summary The Queens Centre Acute Assessment unit is an exciting new building located in the Queen's Centre for Oncology & Haematology and is the receiving unit for patients who are potentially suffering from acute complications relating to their on-going cancer treatment or the disease process itself. The unit provides a rapid assessment of Acute currently having treatment in the Queens Centre patients presenting either through: Self-referral Primary care providers / Allied Health Professional's Internal Care Providers The post holder will be experienced in the health care setting, who acting within their professional boundaries, will provide acute care for patients with cancer. The post-holder will be the first point of contact for Staff treating patients on these pathways and will link in with other healthcare professionals as and when required thus providing a consistent, quality and timely single point of contact for Staff. The post holder will need to be resilient, working under constant pressure with competing priorities.
