As our business looks todeliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for a Purchase Ledger Controller to join theEuropean finance team at our East Yorkshire Office.
You will be responsible for processing andpaying supplier invoices in SAP in a timely and efficient manner. Managing& scanning incoming invoices into our integrated scanning system, ensuringtimely payments, and maintaining accurate records of what the business owes tosuppliers.

1. You will have experience of working in a busy environment and the ability to prioritise your workload.
2. Purchase Ledger or Finance experience.
3. You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills.
4. You will be an influencer and able to persuade customers and other departments to complete tasks in a timely manner.
5. Excellent inter-personal skills.
6. Attention to detail.
7. Problem-solving abilities, especially around payment discrepancies or invoice errors.
8. Educated to GCSE level with a grade C in Maths and English.
9. Experience operating an integrated scanning system is desirable but not essential.
10. Experience with SAP and Excel is desirable but not essential.
11. Experience with dealing with overseas companies is desirable but not essential.
What You’ll Be Doing:

12. Verification of documents within the OCR system.
13. Working with UK & overseas sites.
14. Ensuring all purchase invoices are processed correctly and in a timely manner.
15. Resolve a high volume of invoice queries in relation to disputes and escalate queries where necessary.
16. Preparing and processing weekly/monthly supplier payments.
17. Regularly reconciling supplier statements
18. Identifying and implementing improvements in AP processes and controls.
19. Attending regular calls with sites to discuss improvements and processes.
20. Month end reporting as required.
