We are a football club with a desire to be the best and are always looking for talented people to join our Everton Family.
Everton is a workplace people crave to join, where extraordinary talented people belong, thrive and deliver the remarkable.
Who are we: We are Everton Football Club and we are an icon of world football. As one of the bastions of the global game, with a rich and successful history, we are now setting our sights on a new, exciting future.
With a proud and illustrious past, the Club is currently embarking on a new and exciting journey with the construction of our new stadium on the banks of the River Mersey. With that exciting development comes an ambition to have a Men’s and Women’s First Team squad that is competing regularly at the top of domestic and European football.
Our values underpin how we behave, how we represent our club in our city, and across the world of football, and how we look after one another daily. They provide a framework for how we work with partners, suppliers, and most importantly our fans.
About the opportunity: We are currently embarking on one of the most significant and exciting chapters in our history. With the construction of our new Everton stadium nearing completion, we are looking for a People Advisor to come and join our People, Culture and Workplace Wellbeing department to cover a period of maternity leave, supporting the Club through this exciting period of change.
We put our people at the heart of everything we do, and as a People Advisor you will be the main point of contact for the Football (Finch Farm Academy, Men’s 1st Team and Everton Women) and Commercial departments for all day-to-day people and employment relations matters.
Reporting to our Head of People, you will support line managers to proactively and effectively manage the full range of employee relations matters including employee wellbeing, attendance, performance and conduct issues, as well as flexible working, maternity and paternity and other types of family leave. You will play an active role in recruitment and organisational change activity and will contribute to project work and policy development as required.
You will work closely with our HR People Partners, supporting them to identify HR priorities in their areas, building close working relationships, and recommending appropriate people management solutions. You will also work in partnership with our Talent Acquisition and Onboarding team to ensure all new hires experience a smooth and enjoyable start to their employment at Everton.
Who we are looking for: We are looking for an experienced HR generalist with previous experience in a fast-paced advisory role, ideally in a similar environment, although this is not essential. To be successful in this role, you should have a genuine interest in people, be an active listener and have the ability to think objectively and use sound judgement.
If you have a high attention to detail, are a passionate and determined team player who embraces opportunities to collaborate with a broader diverse team and love to be kept busy, this could be the role for you!
This really is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside supportive colleagues, as we enter a new exciting era for our historic football Club.
The location for this role is across our training ground Finch Farm and our Club’s iconic headquarters in the Royal Liver Building in Liverpool, with the opportunity to work flexibly and from home with our Hybrid working approach.
This position is available on a 12-month fixed-term contract covering a period of maternity leave. This is a full-time position, working 35 hours per week and we would be looking for the contract to begin January/February 2025.
The closing date of this advert is Monday 6th January 2025.
We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive a substantial amount of applications.
