Commercial Project Manager
We are seeking a Commercial Project Manager for execution of Energy Asset Projects. You will be responsible for all commercial elements of the project, using your experience to drive successful contract delivery. This is a key role on every project but is particularly important for high-profile and high-value Energy Asset Projects.
Your responsibilities
The role holder shall have comprehensive experience in the management of mid/large scale infrastructure projects, including:
1. Managing cross-functional teams, contributing to employee-development, diversity- and safety-awareness, fostering a psychologically safe and inclusive work environment.
2. Acting as role model and empowering people (leadership), managing international teams and bridging cultures.
3. Extensive knowledge of financial project management incl. cost optimization measures to improve project financials.
4. Planning and controlling of Energy Asset Projects, coordinating all commercial and risk aspects.
5. Leading development of procurement strategies, identifying suitable forms of contract and working with procurement and legal teams to prepare contracts and specific clauses.
6. Effective management of internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
7. Proven experience in contract and claim management regarding financial negotiations, with a proven ability to align tasks between procurement functions and contract managers.
8. Demonstration of excellent HSSE performance in the workplace and contribution to high HSSE standards.
9. Delivers high standards by ensuring compliance with Uniper and legal commercial requirements.
10. Responsible for managing appropriate change control mechanisms to ensure all expenditure remains compliant with Uniper financial policy.
Your profile
1. Relevant degree in a commercial/legal/technical subject and/or equivalent MBA or comparable project experience.
2. Project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2 / APMP / IPMA) preferred, along with significant relevant commercial experience on complex technical works and construction projects.
3. Demonstrable experience of working on different contract types and forms of contract.
4. Strong and willing communicator, who is convincing and assertive.
5. Willingness to travel and to work within an international team.
6. Diversity Management: embraces challenge and opportunities to enhance outcomes by evaluating situations from different perspectives, leveraging cultural differences.
7. MS Office and financial SAP skills.
8. Fluent in English, German is an advantage.
