Job Title: Supply Chain Coordinator
Location: Paignton, Devon
Contractual Hours: 37.5 per week

Role Overview
* Evaluate and select suppliers based on their ability to meet quality, cost and delivery requirements
* Develop and maintain quality standards and criteria for supplier selection and evaluation
* Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company quality standard and industry regulations
* Negotiate contracts, terms and pricing with suppliers
* Work with suppliers to enhance their processes and capabilities, focusing on quality improvements, cost reduction and delivery performance
* Provide technical support and guidance to suppliers to ensure they meet the company’s technical and quality specifications

* Monitor and analyse supplier performance metrics, and develop improvement plans as needed
* Create and manage purchase orders for materials, components, and services required for photonics projects and production
* Ensure accurate and timely processing of purchase orders, including order confirmation, delivery schedules and tracking
* Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any issues related to purchase orders, including discrepancies and delays
* Collaborate with teams to ensure purchased materials and components meet technical specifications
Desired Experience/Skills
* Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Quality Assurance or a related field
* Experience in Optoelectronic or Photonics is desirable
* 5 years’ experience in procurement, preferably within an engineering environment
* Knowledge of supply chain management
* Knowledge of relevant industry standard and regulations
* Proficiency in creating managing purchase orders and familiarity with ERP systems
* Knowledge of importing and exporting
