Mental Health Support Worker - Days at Specialist Care Team
Bring comfort and security to those who need it most. Join our excellent team, which supports individuals in their own homes around the Morecambe and Heysham area.
We provide comprehensive training so you can support people with complex needs, such as Autism, learning disabilities, or mental health issues. Our specialty is supporting people in their own homes, creating happy and safe environments.
Shifts can be between 7am-11pm. We also offer protected days/times off to help you plan your life.
As part of our highly-trained team, you'll work with people to enable them to live happy lives while promoting their independence. You will also learn specialist skills to ensure a safe environment for our clients, including breakaway training and ligature rescue.

* We pay more – We believe in paying a fair price for an outstanding job. As a member of the day team, you'll receive a basic £12.45 per hour.
* Flexible working – Whether you have driving lessons, play squash on a Thursday night, or need to care for a family member, we aim to accommodate your commitments. Full-time colleagues also receive a protected regular day off each week.
* Guaranteed contract hours – We do not offer 'zero hour' contracts as standard. All team members have guaranteed hours, ranging from 8 to 40 hours per week depending on your preference.
* Investing in you – You'll be fully trained by our in-house team. Community team members are provided with a work mobile phone to support your role.
What We Need From You:
Everyone working in social care needs a good standard of English, numeracy, and digital skills. You should enjoy working in a team, be good at problem-solving, and flexible to the needs of our mental health facilities.
Experience in care, particularly mental health, is desirable but not essential as full training is provided. We will consider the right candidate.
