Job Description:
We have an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and skilled Applications Support Analyst to join our team in Aberdeen. As Applications Support Analyst, you will deliver support and maintenance for the business application portfolio, ensuring applications are maintained in line with product roadmaps and business requirements. If you are a team player, possess excellent communication skills, and have some previous experience in Application Support, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll do:
* Provide application support and maintenance services
* Installation, configuration, administration, support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the business application portfolio
* Engagement with 3rd party vendors as part of support and maintenance activities
* Provide support for onshore and offshore business applications
* Work with third party vendors to ensure services are supported
* Engagement with other IT functions to ensure successful deployment of solutions into production
* Maintain systems documentation, ensuring knowledge base articles and IS guides are up to date
* Ensure events and demand are dealt with within agreed SLAs
* Deploy and manage solutions to meet defined business specific needs as defined through the product maps/lifecycles
* Provide out of hours support on an occasional basis for scheduled maintenance, project activities, and via the on-call support rota
What to bring:
* Experience of supporting Business Applications
* Experience of Cloud Application services, M365, Azure, SQL, AD
* Experience of database technologies such as SQL Server and Oracle
* Experience of application installation and configuration
* Strong on documentation, processes, and a determined finisher, capable of handling the day-to-day operational pressure
* Ability to prioritise own workload and meet agreed deadlines
* Strong organisational skills to be able to juggle multiple issues and changing priorities
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to liaise with various areas of the business
* Experience in supporting enterprise applications within the energy and utilities sector preferred but not essential
