Position Overview:
The Sales Business Development Representative is responsible for driving business growth through direct engagement with prospective clients. This role involves conducting face-to-face visits, performing on-site surveys, and building strong relationships to convert opportunities into sales. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a flexible, remote work environment and excels in meeting clients' needs through consultative selling techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
1. Identify and engage with potential clients through targeted prospecting and networking activities.
2. Conduct on-site visits to understand client needs, provide product or service demonstrations, and offer tailored solutions.
3. Perform site surveys to assess requirements and recommend appropriate offerings.
4. Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline by following up on leads and opportunities promptly.
Client Relationship Management:
1. Build and nurture long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
2. Act as a trusted advisor, offering insights and solutions to address customer challenges.
3. Manage client expectations and ensure satisfaction throughout the sales process.
4. Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
5. Deliver compelling presentations and proposals that effectively communicate value propositions.
6. Negotiate pricing and contract terms to close deals.
7. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless handover and delivery of solutions.
Remote Work & Reporting:
1. Effectively manage time and resources while working remotely, ensuring productivity and goal achievement.
2. Utilize CRM tools to document and track client interactions, sales activities, and pipeline status.
3. Regularly report progress, challenges, and insights to the Sales Team Manager.
Market Awareness & Continuous Improvement:
1. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
2. Provide feedback on client needs and market trends to help shape sales strategies and product development.
3. Attend training sessions and sales meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.
Key Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
1. Proven experience in sales, business development, or a similar client-facing role.
2. Experience with face-to-face selling, demonstrations, and on-site surveys is a strong advantage.
Skills:
1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
2. Persuasive presentation and negotiation skills.
3. Proficiency in using CRM tools (e.g., Zoho, Salesforce) and virtual collaboration tools.
4. Effective time management and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
