Overview of Role
The role will require regular interaction with the firm’s senior real estate team, principally in London, Paris and Frankfurt (in addition to junior members of the team). This is primarily an EMEA and UK focused role.
Responsibilities
* Provide support to the GA Real Estate team on investor coverage by recording, monitoring and supporting investor interaction within EMEA.
* Improve and maintain existing Excel database of investors, including, inter alia, AUM, portfolio investments and relationships at Rothschild & Co.
* Improve and maintain database of assets owned by financial investors including primary research using public data sources.
* Maintain investor CRM updates (on existing CRM systems) and tracking tools (in excel).
* Maintain a record of meetings held and ensure information sharing within the Real Estate group.
* Attend senior banker GA meetings and note taking, as required.
* Attend senior coverage meetings and circulate minutes with coverage notes and follow-up action points agreed.
* As required, liaise with internal teams to extract client information from various sources:
o Internal Finance
o Meeting Notes
o Client presentations
o Data sources (internal and external)
* Assist in the creation and storage of investor profiles and assets of interest, including summarising and manipulating client information into presentation formats.
* Responsible for central collation of precedent materials and sector materials/research and organise into a central filing system.
* Provide support for pitches and transactions in identifying appropriate investors/individuals at investors, acting as a point person for senior and junior bankers.
* Provide support to the junior team on client presentation and research tasks, focused on macro/sector theme and key investor activity.
* Maintain the UK team deal pipeline schedule and collate comments and updates from senior bankers.
Core skills required:
* Excellence in utilising the Microsoft suite (in particular, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook but also FactSet).
* Rigorous minute taking and ability to extract core relevant data/information from meetings and present in a concise manner.
* Ability to engage with senior colleagues and work alongside the junior team.
* Numerical with the ability to digest and interpret basic company financial information.
* Familiarity/understanding of financial markets, public and private securities.
* Attention to detail and rigour in preparing and presenting documents.
* Research skills to source and summarise key information on clients and investors.
* Ability to project manage discreet tasks and collaborate with individuals and teams to meet reporting deadlines.
