We're looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our Workplace Solutions team based in Basingstoke.
Location: Hybrid, with site and office travel nationwide required
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
What will you be responsible for?
As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working as a part of the Commercial team, supporting the projects team in maintaining commercial information and ensure compliance with contractual requirements and ensure objectives are achieved..
Your day to day will include:
* Updating the monthly VCR, cost and commercial plans and have accountability, along with the project team for the commercial performance and strategy.
* Helping to ensure that commercial processes are adhered to across the business unit.
* Actively seeking to improve processes and procedures.
* Managing and developing the commercial team, ensuring workload is covered effectively and to ensure compliance and processes are being followed.
* Overseeing the commercial function within an area of the business ensuring robust and accurate reporting processes and controls exist, undertaking the day to day management of the commercial function within the section.
What are we looking for?
This role of Managing Quantity Surveyor is great for you if you have:
* HND/degree in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent.
* Familiarity with ICE/NEC forms of contract and knowledge of current Construction Law.
* Experience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors, including chairing regular meetings, measurement and control cycle, certificates, and accruals calculations.
* The ability to demonstrate a good knowledge of monthly reporting and earned value analysis.
