Business Tax Accountant – full or part qualified- ATT / CTA / ACCA

An excellent opportunity for an ambitious, hardworking individual with a professional Business Tax Accountancy background to join this well respected, Medway based Accountancy Practice. This role, situated within the Tax department, involves offering a tailored accountancy service to clients, covering business tax support and managing business clients' tax matters. You’ll enjoy collaborating with colleagues and developing strong team bonds and to work together to ensure the clients receive the very best service.
Your client base would be made up of : Startups, Established businesses, Partnerships and these clients cross sectors such as Block Management, Construction, Tech and Property, these clients are mostly Kent based business.
From pre-year-end planning to R&D tax relief advice for Startups to working with larger businesses to ease the tax burden and make robust plans for success.
Responsibilities:
* Advising clients on raising funds and finance for new projects
* Advising on how to reduce business tax burden and giving sound business focussed advice
* Support clients to identify and mitigate financial risks for your clients business
* Prepare and review total tax contributions for direct and indirect taxes
* Managing a corporate portfolio of clients.
* Preparing tax returns for companies, partnerships and SME's
* Liaising with the audit team to ensure that any tax-sensitive issues arising in the accounts are correctly treated.
* Submitting returns to HMRC in a timely manner and by the due date.
* Advising clients on how to pay their tax liabilities, including any interest or penalties due, and appealing against HMRC penalty notices where appropriate.
* Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients to ensure compliance matters are dealt with effectively.
* Complete detailed analysis of general ledger codes for use in the tax returns
* Assist with obtaining certificates of residence from tax authorities
* Prepare draft statutory accounts with clear and concise working files
* Becoming and expert in cloud accounting software including Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
It is likely that you’ll be fully or part qualified ATT / CTA, ACCA and you will want to grow your career in Tax Accounting.

Pay: £35,561.00-£41,550.00 per year
