As they scale from a £20M to £100M+ business, Heights are seeking a dynamic Head of Supply Chain to lead and optimise their global operations, ensuring supplier performance, inventory availability, and operational efficiency.
The Role
This is a critical role in Heights' next phase of growth. As they scale, you'll take ownership of their end-to-end supply chain strategy, ensuring operational excellence, supplier performance, risk mitigation, and inventory optimisation.
You'll play a key role in shaping the future of the supply chain, transitioning from tactical execution to strategic leadership. You will also support the Supply Chain Manager in their development while ensuring the broader supply chain function is structured to scale effectively. Additionally, you will collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Commercial, and external partners to ensure a seamless and efficient supply chain.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Scaling the Supply Chain
Lead the supply chain function as Heights scales from £20M to £100M+, implementing a structured, proactive supply chain strategy.
Develop and optimise long-range capacity planning to mitigate supply chain risks.
Build strong supplier relationships across the UK, Europe and Canada, ensuring quality, efficiency, and reliability.
Identify and establish specialist supply chain functions (e.g., demand planning, inbound logistics, 3PL management).
Foster a high-performance, execution-focused culture while balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution.
Supplier & Inventory Management
Own supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and long-term supplier management, ensuring strong SLAs and performance tracking.
Implement real-time inventory management systems to improve forecasting, minimise stockouts, and enhance visibility of supply risks.
Manage suppliers with long lead times (6+ months), ensuring robust forecasting, risk mitigation, and inventory planning.
Drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the supply chain while maintaining high-quality standards.
Operational Execution & Continuous Improvement
Optimise inbound supply chain processes, ensuring timely delivery from manufacturers and suppliers.
Improve internal systems by integrating data across the supply chain to support decision-making.
Support The Supply Chain Manager in defining and owning specific areas of the supply chain, allowing them to develop deeper expertise.
Ensure 3PL and outbound operations run smoothly, with a clear focus on mitigating risks in primary supply (suppliers, manufacturers, co-packers).
Utilise data and analytics to drive informed decision-making and performance improvements.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in a senior supply chain leadership role within a high-growth scale-up environment (£20M–£50M growth trajectory).
Strong background in D2C and subscription-based business models.
Expertise in supplier and contract management, including international supplier oversight.
Comprehensive knowledge of inventory planning, risk mitigation, and capacity planning.
Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, founder-led business.
Experience managing global supply chain operations across multiple geographies.
Strong analytical and operational mindset, able to translate numbers into action.
Comfortable working in a performance-driven culture that values ambition, execution, and impact.
Experience mentoring and developing team members.
Industry experience in supplements, food, or other regulated sectors is advantageous but not essential.
