Lettings and Allocations Officer Holliday Street- Birmingham £27,378.00 per annum 37.5 hours per week Permanent About the role Trident Housing Group have an opportunity for a Lettings and Allocations Officer based in Birmingham City Centre. Working within our Homes and Communities department you will be joining the Lettings and Allocations team at an exciting time as we continue to deliver a quality service to those in housing need and bring to life key areas of our Homes and Communities Strategy. To be part of the Allocations & Lettings Team to address housing needs by allocating and letting Trident owned properties and nominating general needs properties. The post will support the team supervisor and wider department, with an emphasis on providing excellent customer service, sustaining tenancies, maximising income, and achieving greater service efficiencies. To process all applications, place them on our waiting list and carry out assessments for our general needs and supported housing property portfolio. You will have strong communication, enjoying answering calls and enquiries and liaising with colleagues and key agencies in carrying out the role. There will be opportunities to participate in site visits to see our new developments, learn about the neighbourhoods in which we operate, carry out property inspections and facilitate viewings. Processing housing applications and facilitating pre-tenancy workshops. Preparing occupancy agreements and shaping the sign-up packs and processes to meet customer and business needs Actively participating in all aspects of void management including preparing notices, ensuring that all properties comply with health & safety legislation prior to letting, liaising with Local Authorities, attending voids meetings and reporting on KPIs Developing positive working relationships with internal colleagues including our Customer Advisors, Technical Services Colleagues, Community Safety and Engagement Team, Housing Officers and Care and Support services. Utilising Outlook, Word, Excel and our dedicated systems to their full advantage. Diary management including booking viewings, assessments, attending meetings and personal development opportunities About you Experience of working in a social housing environment Experience of Allocation & Lettings of properties Experience of working in a busy customer services environment with a range of diverse groups & individuals Education 5 GCSE’s or equivalent including maths & English Skills & Knowledge Working Knowledge of processing documents in accordance with written procedures Excellent written and numerical skills Experience of working with Microsoft applications Previous experience of working for, or liaising with many teams Experience of using a management information system Trident Group has over 60 years’ experience of delivering homes, services and innovation for up to 8,000 people in over 3,600 homes in some of the most disadvantaged communities in the Midlands.
