Purpose of the role
Maintain control of the MRL wagon fleet, between two parent companies within the Quarry industry. Working with Freightliner Companies.
Key Accountability
* Create and deliver the weekly train plan, working closely with our Supply Chain Partners;
* Accurate log and report on daily train movements/concerns;
* Inputting correct data to generate invoices and reports;
* Record and prepare transactional data to be available to the Admin and Management Team as and when required;
* Prepare daily trip sheets for each quarry to ensure loading requirements are met;
* Advise each depot of the weekly train plan, ensuring any issues are communicated quickly and alternative arrangements made;
* Liaise with Parent companies and supply chain staff to ensure optimum service delivery, creating value for MRL and the parents;
* Provide help and advice to customers as and when required;
* Organise defective wagon assisted offloads and stranded wagon recovery;
* Ensure there is sufficient wagon capacity at the correct loading sources to meet customer demand;
* Keep an up-to-date record on wagon availability, stranded wagons and defective wagon numbers;
* Provide accurate information on stranded wagon recovery performance to allow stranded wagon recovery penalties to be charged where necessary;
* Achieve first class service levels to meet customer expectations;
* Be the first point of contact for all queries within the Operations office.
