Description Grade UE05: £28,879 to £33,232 per annum College of Science and Engineering / School of Engineering Full-time (35 hours per week) Fixed Term for 12 months (maternity cover) The Opportunity: The School of Engineering is seeking to appoint an HR Administration Officer. This post will report to the Deputy HR Administration Manager within the School. This post is full-time (35 hours per week) on a fixed term basis of 12 months (maternity cover). Working as part of a busy School HR Team, you will provide a comprehensive range of HR administrative support for staff in the School. This includes planning and organising recruitment for a range of appointments (academic, research and professional services). You will also ensure that the relevant procedures and policies for recruitment and management of staff are correctly implemented. You will have excellent organisational skills, and written and verbal communication skills. Strong organisational and IT skills, and the ability to communicate with people at all levels are also essential. Your skills and attributes for success: Educated to Standard Grade or other equivalent qualification and relevant experience in a similar administrative role, preferably in a fast paced, customer facing office/ higher education environment. Knowledge of employment legislation and practice and UKVI regulations. Ability to deal sensitively and appropriately with confidential information. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
