Job Description\n\nJob Title: Mechanical Project Manager\nLocation: Liverpool (In Person)\nJob Type: Full-time, Permanent\nSalary: £55,000.00 per year + Bonus Scheme + Company Car\n\nThe Role\n\nWe’re currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established M&E contractor based in Liverpool for a Mechanical Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.\n\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing mechanical works across a range of public sector construction projects including schools, universities, healthcare facilities, and hotels. The role will involve managing site teams, subcontractors, and ensuring that all work is delivered to a high standard, on time and within budget.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced site manager with a mechanical background who is looking for long-term stability and local projects without the need to travel nationwide.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n * \n\n Manage day-to-day mechanical operations on site, including labour and subcontractor coordination\n\n * \n\n Ensure work is delivered in accordance with project specifications, drawings and timelines\n\n * \n\n Monitor site safety, quality and progress, and carry out regular inspections\n\n * \n\n Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal project teams to ensure smooth communication\n\n * \n\n Oversee materials management, deliveries, and equipment on site\n\n * \n\n Provide progress reports to senior management and assist in resolving site issues\n\n * \n\n Support the commissioning and handover process\n\nRequirements\n\n * \n\n Proven experience in a Mechanical Site Manager role within the construction sector\n\n * \n\n Strong understanding of mechanical systems including HVAC and pipework\n\n * \n\n Background in delivering public sector projects such as schools or healthcare is preferred\n\n * \n\n SMSTS or SSSTS certification\n\n * \n\n Relevant mechanical qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or HNC/HND in Building Services\n\n * \n\n Excellent leadership, organisation and communication skills\n\n * \n\n Full UK driving licence\n\n * \n\n Must be based within commutable distance to Liverpool and willing to travel locally\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n * \n\n £55,000 per annum\n\n * \n\n Performance-related bonus scheme\n\n * \n\n Company car provided\n\n * \n\n Permanent, full-time role with consistent work in the North West\n\n * \n\n Monday to Friday working hours: 08:00 – 16:30\n\n * \n\n Free parking and on-site parking\n\n * \n\n Opportunity to work for a respected and growing contractor\n\n * \n\n Supportive working environment with long-term career potential\n\nAbout the Company\n\nOur client is a Liverpool-based mechanical and electrical contractor with a long-standing heritage dating back to the 1950s.
