Maintenance Engineer Permanent, Full-Time, Available shift is 7am-3.Häfele is an internationally trusted name supplying furniture fittings, ironmongery and hardware to the trade. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer with a bias towards Electrical Engineering to join our team. The role of the Maintenance Engineer is to work within the Operations Maintenance Team to ensure all Häfele UK’s mechanical handling equipment is maintained in a safe, functional, and good working order. The equipment covers conveyors, cranes, robots, scanners, and a shuttle system. The Maintenance Engineer will work with the Operations Maintenance Team and support the development of other engineers and apprentices within the team.
The role will work closely with the Engineering and Process Improvement Manager to deliver improvements to equipment, assist with projects where required and develop best practices.
The role will also work with and have control of contractors ensuring that work is completed on time and in full, to ultimately ensure that the contracts are offering value for money.
Automated and manual mechanical handling equipment – diagnosing faults, maintaining and support of equipment during the operation.
Analysis of breakdowns to determine root cause and prevent re-occurrence.
To liaise with contractors and arrange for site visits to ensure that work is carried out to expected standard.
To ensure that all key performance indicators (KPI’s) and /or objectives set with your Line Manager are performed effectively and within target and agreed parameters.

Working at height and be part of the rescue at height team (Full training and PPE will be provided)
A completed apprenticeship in electrical maintenance engineering or equivalent.
Experience of working in an Electrically biased multi-skilled maintenance engineer role.
Technical knowledge of automation electrical systems
Technical knowledge of S7 PLC and inverter driven systems.
Technical knowledge of Profinet, Profibus, Can-Bus and ASI networks.
Technical knowledge of barcode scanning networks.
Experience of manual/automated picking cranes.
Experience of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
PC Literate (Microsoft packages).
