Mind the Gap is a pioneering theatre company that creates bold and inclusive work led by artists with learning disabilities and/or autism. Our work reaches audiences across the UK and internationally. For over 30 years, we have championed inclusion and diversity in the arts, earning critical acclaim and challenging perceptions of what is possible in theatre.
Our work focuses on three key areas: Making and Touring, Training Academy, and Creative Engagement. Based in purpose-built studios at Lister Mills, Bradford, we are dedicated to creating impactful and inclusive theatre.
We are looking to hire a freelance Marketing professional to help share our story and bring our new brand—currently in development—to life. We’re looking for someone interested in what we do and how we do it, someone who brings fresh energy and experience and is committed to working inclusively. We are a collaborative team working towards our VISION and MISSION.
Vision
We want to live in a world where learning disabled and autistic people are seen, heard and represented everywhere, where learning disabled and autistic voices lead the way in building a more inclusive world.
Mission
We use art to shift power away from where it’s been for too long.
We test new creative ways of working that get rid of barriers and celebrate people for who they are.
We find power in peoples’ stories.
We make new narratives that challenge ideas about who gets to do what.
