RMT is looking for a Payroll Assistant to join our busy payroll team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment, supporting businesses across various sectors, with a strong focus on healthcare.
About The Role
As a Payroll Assistant, you will be part of a dedicated team of five, providing outsourced payroll services to RMT’s clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accurately processing payroll data, including temporary and permanent changes
2. Generating payroll reports and ensuring timely submissions
3. Acting as the first point of contact for payroll queries via phone and email
4. Managing pension administration and compliance
5. Liaising directly with HMRC on payroll-related matters
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
1. A solid understanding of payroll processes and previous experience in a payroll role
2. Experience in an accountancy practice or the healthcare sector (desirable)
3. Familiarity with IRIS (STAR) Payroll Professional (preferred)
4. Proficiency in Excel and Outlook
