As and When Assistant Project Worker, Early Support Team - Plymouth Locality
Job Purpose
To assist in providing support and services to children, young people and their families in accordance with the aims and objectives of the service.
There may also be a requirement to work on own in the community and/or service setting.

Under guidance work to a care plan or undertake tasks as directed:
Assist colleagues in their work with children, young people and their families, helping to identify needs and to assist in working towards achieving positive outcomes.
Assist colleagues to work in partnership with parents/carers assisting to empower them and to enable them to achieve better outcomes for their children.
May be required to cover reception in a busy environment being the front line for service users.
May be required to run programmes of activity and group-work.
Under guidance, work co-operatively with children's services, health agencies and other community based services, helping to provide the most effective service for children, young people and families.
Work with colleagues in contributing to Service development.
Apply safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Resources
Be responsible for equipment/resources used in day to day work.
May be responsible for any allocated case note recording and
contributing to case reports.
People
No management/supervisory responsibility for staff or students
other than to help and advise colleagues as necessary.
Supervision* of volunteers may be required, as appropriate.

Health and Safety
Promote, monitor and maintain health, safety and security in the working environment.
