As our Employment Advisor, you will proactively mentor, guide and support Institute of Employability’s learners into sustainable employment opportunities. This will involve determining the learners’ employment goals and suitability for specific employment opportunities.
The post holder will proactively identify suitable employment opportunities through developing relationships with local employers and internal sales teams. Provide a provision of 121 support, advice and guidance and In Work Support once the customer is in work to ensure sustainability and remove potential barriers to remaining in work

Responsibilities of our Employment Advisor:
Achieve performance targets across the Institute of Employability’s division, as set by the Operations Manager, inclusive of Job Starts and Sustained Outcomes for customers and Business Development.
Engage with local and national employers to determine potential vacancies and placement opportunities for Institute of Employability’s customers through telephone and other relevant techniques.
Attend meetings with employers to secure new business and develop existing relationships.
Manage a caseload of customers in line with Institute of Employability’s contract objectives, building trust and rapport to address barriers and motivate people.
Liaise with all new customers and ensure a robust review of the customers employment goals are carried out as part of the Initial Assessment process.
Prepare customers for job interviews and support them through application processes as required.
Accurately record all customer contact and support in company tracking systems for examination by the Quality team and Management as required.
Liaise with Training staff to ensure that progress towards employment is being made and caseload needs are being addressed.
Provision of Management Information to the Operations Manager and Team Leader as required or specified.
Liaise with external agencies and employers including JCP, VCSE community and other external partners to identify opportunities for individuals and access current vacancy information.
What we’re looking for in our Employment Advisor:
GCSE English and Maths Grade C or equivalent
Level 3 IAG qualification or willingness to work towards
Experience of working in a business-to-business sales or business development role.
Knowledge of the Local Labour Market and employment growth opportunities.
Communication skills both written and verbal.
Able to manage own workload and able to deal with conflicting demands and timescales
