We have a fantastic permanent opportunity for hard-working and dedicated support workers to join our client at a small residential home based in New Milton!
The home supports young people with Emotional Behaviour Disorder, Challenging Behaviours, and Mental Health, providing a welcoming and encouraging environment to support their academic, social, and emotional flourishing.
We have full-time, permanent roles for days: 2x 15-hour shifts and 1x 8-hour shift with 1 full weekend work and 2 weekends off for a total of 38 hours per week. Sleep-ins are available at £50/night.
Your new role
As a Children’s Support Worker, you will be responsible for:
* Ensuring the health and safety of young people while generating a positive, safe, and fun atmosphere.
* Promoting and encouraging independence in a caring and compassionate manner.
* Ensuring that the needs of the young people are observed and always met.
* Actively promoting and developing learning while participating in activities both within and outside the service.
What you'll need to succeed
* A genuine passion for caring for others while being calm and compassionate.
* Understanding of Emotional Behaviour Disorder and Challenging Behaviours is advantageous.
* Flexible and reliable with your working schedule.
* Level 3 NVQ is desirable.
* Minimum 6 months UK experience in Social Care with young people is essential.
* Reliable commute to New Milton.
* Due to the requirements, you must be 21 or older.
