We are seeking an experienced and results-driven, technical, Key Account Manager serving the electrical utility marketspace. This role involves developing business, managing key accounts, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a technical background in electrical testing equipment and a proven track record in B2B sales within the electrical utility sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth and expand market share within the electrical utility sector.
2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, establishing relationships with key decision-makers at utility companies.
3. Manage and grow existing accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
4. Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to educate clients on the features and benefits of our test equipment.
5. Collaborate with internal teams, including sales administration, engineering, and customer support, to ensure customer needs are met effectively.
6. Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics to senior management.
7. Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand awareness and establish industry connections.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in test equipment, electrical utilities, or a related industry.
3. Strong understanding of electrical testing technologies, utility applications, and industry standards.
4. Proven ability to develop and maintain long-term customer relationships.
5. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
6. Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently.
7. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
9. Experience working with power transmission and distribution utilities.
10. Knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting the electrical utility industry.
