In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of minimizing risks and safeguarding the well-being of our employees, all while managing associated costs. The Head of HSQE and Compliance will develop and implement a HSQE strategic plan that aligns seamlessly with our companies goals and objectives. You'll be instrumental in fostering a culture of health, safety and compliance, ensuring our practices are are not only effective but also innovative and relevant in a changing environment. Key duties as Head of HSQE and Compliance ; Lead the continuous development of processes and systems necessary to minimise risk to the health and safety of employees and minimise the cost of associated losses. Develop and implement a Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Strategic Plan relevant to the Company’s sites and business objectives which is the subject of development on a continuous basis to ensure continuing relevance. Effectively address HSQE incidents, non-conformances, customer complaints and risks, completing assessments and investigations where necessary Deliver motivated and high performing regional teams, setting clear KPI’s and objectives to ensure high standards of achievements & delivery. Develop and implement all Health and Safety associated policies and procedures, any relevant amendments and update as required and further ensure their adoption by and the compliance of the business and its various operations as appropriate. Embed safe work policies, procedures, and practices, making cultural improvements where necessary. Continuous development of systems to measure, monitor and audit safety performance. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with appropriate representatives of the HSE and any other appropriate external bodies to ensure that the Company and its commercial interests are represented in a professional manner. Formulate and develop appropriate budgeting mechanisms for all areas of responsibility to ensure that all departmental activities are contained within budgeted cost parameters. Strategic health and safety planning. Carrying out a continuous gap analysis of existing quality, environmental and health and safety procedures. Ensuring that all personnel are trained and fully understand the agreed safe systems of work. Regularly auditing risk assessments and method statements. Updating the Board on relevant legislative changes. Overall management of the existing health and safety framework Co-operate with the Company to enable any legal obligations to be complied with. Do not recklessly interfere with anything provided by the Company or others in the interests of health, safety, or welfare. Bring to the attention of a Director, any perceived short comings in health and safety arrangements, situations, or processes that you consider to be serious, or which may present danger to you or others. Do not undertake or request others to undertake any works for which you/they do not hold the required competency or authority to undertake.
