McLaughlin & Harvey is one of the leading Building and Civil Engineering Contractors operating throughout the UK and Ireland. We are seeking to recruit an experienced and ambitious Marketing & Communications Business Partner to join our growing and driven function. Responsibilities As a Marketing & Communications Business Partner, you will lead proactive and reactive marketing & communications support to the Belfast Construction and Civil Engineering divisions. Reporting to the Group Marketing & Communications Manager, you will become the subject matter expert within the function for these divisions. Regular travel between offices and to project sites is expected as part of this role. The Marketing & Communications Business Partner will also be responsible for: Planning and execution of integrated operations marcomms plans for the divisions to drive brand awareness and lead generation. Managing all aspects of construction project milestones communications for the divisions and act as the point of contact with client comms teams, understanding approval processes and any sensitivities. Acting as counsel for the divisions to set best practices and increase understanding of marketing and communications theory and the use of data-informed decisions. Finding stories from within the business that can be used in internal communications to inform and motivate colleagues and showcase examples of the business purpose and values in action. Collaborating on day-to-day copywriting and editing of content across various print, digital and social media channels for the Group. Coordinating sponsorship and industry award nominations for the divisions. Managing media relations (reactive and proactive) to maximise PR coverage, publicity and reach, including identifying, networking with and developing contacts with journalists and key influencers. Working as a brand ambassador to support and enforce high standards in the divisions, ensuring the processes for all marketing, communication and design-related activities are followed. Assisting the marcomms senior management team in the development of Group strategies, policies and procedures to achieve the function’s 5-year roadmap. Ad-hoc marketing & communication support across the Group as required. Qualifications Essential Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or communications or relevant demonstrable experience in a similar role. Experience Prior experience working within an in-house business-to-business marketing and communications team. Experience of project management and interacting with multiple stakeholders of varying seniority. Possess knowledge of traditional, digital marketing and communications theory, B2B marketing, content strategy, copywriting and editing, media relations, PR and social media. Experience utilising online data analytics tools. Prior experience of working with website content management systems (CMS). Possess excellent written communication skills with a high standard of grammar, spelling and attention to detail. Proficiency in full Microsoft Office and Adobe Design software suite. Possess the ability to work to tight deadlines. Friendly approach and enjoys working within a team and developing others. What's in it for you?
