CNC Service Engineer (Mechanical)
Are you an experienced Service Engineer with a strong background in the machine tool industry? Would you like to work in a very well-established manufacturing company who are market leaders? If so, this may be the opportunity for you.
Responsibilities of the Service Engineer are as follows:
1. Servicing and maintaining our ranges of Machine Tool products.
2. Attending faults, diagnosing problems, and rectifying machines. Replacing parts, as necessary.
3. Liaising with Technical support, Service Management and Customer Services.
4. Undertaking planned maintenance of machines.
5. Identifying parts required and order via Service/Spares department.
6. Explaining machine faults, findings and repairs undertaken to customers.
7. Providing great customer service and achieving high customer satisfaction/feedback.
8. Identifying sales opportunities and passing these onto the Sales department.
Experience required for the Service Engineer:
1. Mechanical engineering apprentice trained. Manufacturing engineering / Machine Tool background.
2. Minimum of 5 years Service Engineer, Machine Tool experience.
3. Basic electrical knowledge.
4. Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
5. Good understanding of the needs of our customers.
6. IT literate.
7. Up to date industry knowledge and working with H&S legislation.
8. Able to work on own initiative, with minimal supervision, and provide our customers with the highest levels of service possible.
9. Good communication skills.
10. Flexible attitude to hours of work.
11. Able and willingness to work and stay away from home.
12. All tasks completed correctly and on time including all required paperwork.
13. Team player, including working alongside junior engineering technicians at times and on certain jobs as part of their training.
14. Remain calm and professional at all times.
15. Always promote a positive and professional Company image.
16. Full, valid driving licence.
