About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging Music lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following relevant examination specifications. Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of musical interests and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported in their musical development. Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including instrumental instruction, vocal training, music theory, composition, and music technology, to enhance student learning. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys, fostering a deep understanding of musical concepts and skills. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Music examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria and musical methodologies. Contribute to the development of the Music curriculum and resources, integrating current musical trends and diverse musical genres. Foster a love of music in students, encouraging them to develop their musical skills, creativity, and appreciation of different musical cultures. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment, and to contribute to the wider arts and cultural life of the school. Organize and lead musical performances, concerts, and extracurricular music activities, promoting musical engagement and artistic expression. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in Music, including performance, composition, and music theory. Demonstrated ability to teach Music across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including A-Level. Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Music examinations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and musical skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students of all musical abilities. A passion for music and a commitment to fostering musical creativity and appreciation. Ability to organize and lead musical performances and activities. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
