We are seeking an experienced Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) to join an estates team within a Derbyshire based local authority. Client Details This is a public sector based role in Derbyshire. Description You will play a key role in managing and optimizing our diverse property portfolio, providing expert advice and handling a wide range of estates management responsibilities. The position offers a blend of office-based and remote working, allowing for flexibility while maintaining strong connections with colleagues and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Managing a varied portfolio of council properties, including commercial, residential, and community assets Handling lease negotiations, rent reviews, and lease renewals Providing strategic advice on property matters to internal departments Conducting property inspections and preparing detailed reports Managing relationships with tenants and external stakeholders Contributing to the council's property strategy and asset optimization initiatives Profile Required Qualifications & Experience: MRICS qualified with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience Proven track record in estates management and landlord & tenant matters Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills Experience in property valuation and asset management Excellent communication and report writing abilities Valid driving license and ability to travel throughout the region Job Offer A salary of circa £55,000 benefits is on offer for the successful candidate.
