Teaching Personnel is seeking motivated and dedicated individuals for SEN Teaching Assistant positions in secondary schools across Newport.

Role Details:
Salary: £450–£500 per week (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Hours: 08:30–15:30
Location: Newport, South Wales
Start Date: April 2025
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll support pupils in the classroom, work closely with teachers, encourage engagement, and provide one-to-one support for children with diverse educational and health needs.

Main Responsibilities:
Prepare and organize learning materials
Customize teaching support to suit individual student needs
Support and facilitate group and classroom activities
Ensure students' physical, social, and emotional wellbeing
Create an engaging, safe learning environment
Experience, Training, and Qualifications:
Minimum qualification: English and Maths GCSE
Experience working with children with special educational needs (desirable but not essential)
DBS and EWC registration (Teaching Personnel will help you apply for these)
