Description As Welding Supervisor in Flexibles Glenrothes, you will lead and motivate a team of Welders and Welding Apprentices, driving them to deliver world-class, high-quality welded components. You will play a key role in managing both internal and external customer expectations, ensuring that the technical services provided by your team support smooth production processes. In addition to overseeing your own productivity, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day output of your team, utilizing a range of welding processes and disciplines. In this role, you will also identify areas for improvement and implement preventative measures to uphold and enhance quality standards in a fast-paced production environment. Duties & Responsibilities: Operate welding equipment safely, maintaining HSE and housekeeping standards. Coordinate and prioritize welding workload based on the Production Schedule. Lead daily team briefings, addressing potential challenges and assigning action points. Act as a technical authority, supporting welders with technical queries and workflow decisions. Monitor team performance, handle 1:1 reviews, and identify training needs in collaboration with the Workshop Supervisor. Investigate non-conformances, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive actions. Ensure adherence to times and processes on job routes, escalating discrepancies when necessary. Maintain and report accurate time entries, and support improvements in KPIs for Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery. Drive process improvements to streamline workflow, reduce labor costs, and improve efficiency. Promote company objectives, policies, and procedures, ensuring 5S principles are upheld. Skills & Experience Required: Essential: Time-served apprenticeship in a relevant field. Solid understanding of welding processes and applications. Experience in the oil and gas industry. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Desirable: Higher education in a relevant subject. Previous supervisory experience.
