We make health happen You’ll sit alongside a passionate and talented multi-disciplinary experience design team made up of user researchers, product designers, content designers and design operations, who are focused on creating the best digital experiences for Bupa’s customers in the UK. You’ll plan, design, and execute research activities with users that help teams get a deep understanding of the people that use Bupa's products and services. This research will help to inform proposition, service, content, and interaction design so that our products and services meet the needs of our users and are truly customer centric. As a function quickly growing in maturity, you’ll support the User Research team in developing ways of working, establishing new processes and educating others about the power of User Research How you’ll help us make health happen You’ll be responsible for planning and carrying out user research activities for and with the rest of the team – owning the process end to end and empowering colleagues to get involved. You’ll be working as an embedded researcher across several squads in one area, ensuring that all research work in the area meet high standards. Spotting opportunities for research to support in the design process, educating colleagues and stakeholders about what we do and how we can support. You’ll be contributing to the growth of a team that’s establishing itself and growing in maturity – helping to improve and set up processes and ways of working. You’ll be deepening our knowledge of our customers and helping to champion their needs so we can serve them better. You’ll also manage, support and develop senior / mid-weight user researchers across a number of squads, playing a critical role in both guiding research direction, building relationships and nurturing a strong collaborative team culture. You Impressive, proven User Research experience Extensive experience of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies Demonstrated ability to lead research projects from conception to completion. An accomplished people manager / mentor Experience undertaking research with sensitive audiences around sensitive topics A background in working on projects related to accessibility Confident working with analytics data - we use Adobe Analytics and FullStory Proven track record of advocating for user research in the design process and making the business case for thorough and impactful research. Proactive mindset, with a track record of identifying new opportunities. Strong communication and storytelling skills Experience developing team processes and ways of working Experience working as part of Agile teams. This role is flexible in terms of where you’re based – our team is based all over the UK We just ask that you can make it into our Salford (just outside of Manchester) office once a quarter for dedicated team time, and as and when for key meetings/activities.
