Non Medical Prescriber Service Care Solutions are currently working with a client based across Lancashire to fill a permanent position for a Non Medical Prescriber in one of their Drug & Alcohol Addiction services. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced non-medical prescriber to join a dynamic community substance misuse service in Blackpool. You will work between our alcohol and drug services, assessing and prescribing treatment for clients undergoing community alcohol detox as well as those in structured drug treatment. You will be part of a friendly and inclusive team, working with clients with a range of complex needs so you will need resilience, warmth and empathy. Requirements for the successful Non Medical Prescriber Current registration with the NMC or GPC with a recognised Independent Prescriber qualification. Degree/Diploma in health-related subject. At least 1 year of substance misuse prescribing experience. Non-judgemental attitude. Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.The role for the successful Non Medical Prescriber Providing regular support to non-medical prescribing across the business contract and other areas when applicable, enabling wider and faster access to medicines for clients. Striving for new and up to date innovative interventions to support client recovery. Outcome driven, cost effective and person-centred prescribing. Prescribe within own level of professional competence and expertise, make appropriate referrals to other professionals with different expertise, maintain best practise, and work safely within the parameters of up-to-date and robust company policy and procedure. Prescribing decisions will be made with through high standard record keeping, prescription, and rationale for prescribing decisions. Enable prescribing colleagues to deliver a safe and effective service, through regular supervision, training, mentorship, and excellent leadership. Coordinating safe and organised prescribing cover across all Delphi services. There will be strong, collaborative working relationships with colleagues particularly NMPS, across the wider group, senior managers, and relevant partners. Continued personal development will be ongoing to increase the service offer and own skill set in line with professional registrations
