A school in the BS24 area of Weston Super-Mare is looking for a Year 4 Class Teacher for 5 days a week from November on a Fixed Term Contract.
As a 1 form entry school, they have a very close and dedicated team of staff including a team of teaching assistants, to support classes. Their values include developing independence, respect, and resilience.
The Role
The successful candidate for this role will be joining the school on a full-time basis to work in their Year 4 class. There is a Teaching Assistant in the classroom to help you support children additionally, through groups work of interventions.
The Head Teacher is looking for someone who aims to provide children with knowledge and understanding of the world through a broad and balanced curriculum and learning opportunities.
You will be expected to:
* Have great knowledge of KS2 curriculum.
* Ability to assess children’s knowledge and development.
* Plan engaging and exciting activities to attract children to their learning.
* Work closely with the class TA to support individual children.
* Be confident with differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all children.
* Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the children.
