Description Suffolk County Council – Endeavour House, Ipswich, IP1 2BX - Hybrid £39,513 per annum (pro rata if part time) 37 hours per week - Flexible working options available Permanent Your role and responsibilities As a Recruitment and Early Careers Partner, you will play a pivotal role in our HR service. You will lead the development and implementation of our early careers programmes, including apprenticeships, opportunities for care leavers, graduates, interns, work experience, and T-levels. You will work closely with colleagues across the service and the wider organisation, supporting recruitment, retention, and workforce development strategies. On a daily basis, you will: Act as the professional lead for early careers programmes and other recruitment-related workstreams. Manage complex recruitment campaigns, particularly for high volume, hard-to-fill, and senior-level positions. Lead the design and implementation of the annual summer internship programme and biennial graduate programme. Monitor performance of the Early Careers team against identified metrics and produce monthly and quarterly reports. Represent Suffolk County Council at external events such as careers fairs and cultural events. Manage and deliver a range of projects, including meeting with key stakeholders, project planning, and reviewing success. You will need Advanced knowledge and experience of delivering early careers programmes. Good knowledge of employer responsibilities relating to apprenticeships and the levy, including reporting, procurement and provider contract management. Experience of successfully developing, organising and facilitating complex recruitment and assessment centres. A degree-level qualification in a relevant subject such as management, project management, HR, or learning and development, or sound evidence of equivalent knowledge and experience in a similar setting and area of work. We deliver on recruitment, job evaluation, and early careers. Reporting to the HR Recruitment Manager, you will work closely with colleagues across the HR service to deliver effective services and significant pieces of work supporting the organisation's wider aims and priorities. You will line manage a small team who also support the delivery of the early careers programmes, being accountable for their day-to-day work allocation and performance management and development. This role supports hybrid working. It involves a balanced mix of working from home and the office. Specifically, you will be required to work in the office at least two days per week, including on a Wednesday which is the team office day.
