We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Careers Advisor to join a post-16 education establishment on a temporary term-time only basis. The successful candidate will provide guidance and support to our post-16 students, helping them navigate their career options and make informed decisions about their futures.
Careers Advisor
* Location: South East London
* Start Date: After half term
* Duration: Temporary ongoing (term time only)
* Working Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday (4 days per week)
Key Responsibilities for the IAG Advisor:
* Provide one-on-one career support to students
* Assist students with job applications, CV writing, and interview preparation
* Organize and conduct career workshops and events
* Liaise with local employers and educational institutions to create opportunities for students
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labour market trends and educational pathways
Qualifications and Skills required for the Careers Advisor role:
* Proven experience as a Careers Advisor or in a similar role
* To hold a recognised IAG qualification level 4 or DIPCG
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Knowledge of current career trends and job market information
* Relevant qualifications in career guidance
