The Opportunity We are looking for a HIU Engineer to join our specialist O&M team in the London area where they will become a specialist Energy & Asset Management Engineer, taking direct responsibility for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of Vital Energi’s residential heating projects across London. This role would suit anyone from a plumbing & heating or general engineering background where they have gained experience in servicing and repairing Heating Interface Units, and where they are now at a stage in their career where they’d like to develop their experience with higher-value projects involving a range of conventional and sustainable heating systems. The Role Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager you will be responsible for: Delivering Planned Preventative and Reactive Maintenance across multiple sites Actively installing, commissioning, maintaining and repairing HIUs Providing technical assistance to clients, contractors and work colleagues within sphere of operation and fulfilling customer service requirements while meeting QHSE objectives Ensuring statutory and mandatory inspections are satisfactorily carried out and documented in line with the company’s management system Accurately maintaining and submitting relevant documentation and records as required Undertaking subcontractor management where necessary Responding to issues as part of a callout rota Skills/Experience: Minimum level 2 qualification in an engineering discipline Experience of domestic heating controls Basic electrical knowledge preferred Previous experience in servicing and maintaining Heating Interface Units Full UK manual driving licence The Package Salary negotiable DOE Vehicle and fuel card Contributory Company Pension Scheme Non-contributory death-in-service insurance Employee Assistance Programme 25 Days Holiday plus 8 days bank holidays.
