We have vacancies in our existing services and in our new development planning to open June this year. This is a great opportunity to support adults with a learning disability and enable them to thrive and live life to their full potential.
The postholder will provide help and guidance and deliver all aspects of personal care as needed whilst ensuring the individuals privacy, dignity, respect, choices, independence and self esteem are maintained at all times. You will also assist in the risk management of individuals by adhering to Risk Assessments and Management Plans in conjunction with the policies and procedures of Caerphilly County Borough Council.
It is determined that the successful post holder will be female due to the care needs and personal preference from the individuals. This is a protected characteristic under the occupational requirement of the post in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
For the role, we ask that you have:
A requirement to achieve a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care within an agreed timescale.
An understanding of the principles that underpin a quality care environment ie Privacy, dignity, respect, choice, independence and rights.
The ability to work shifts on a rota basis, and work flexibly, including weekends, bank holidays and sleep in duties
