We are currently recruiting for a part time Health Advisor who can accommodate weekend, evening and night shift hours between 16-24 hours per week. This is to cover our core shifts and assist patients when they need us the most. We can be flexible with hours and create a shift pattern that works best for both you and for the site. This is a permanent contract and has a pay rate of £12.11 per hour during training and day shifts, £15.05 per hour for a night shift and £15.58 per hour (red zone weekends - Friday 6pm-Monday 7am). Please note, we are currently unable to offer home working.
Training
We can offer full time and part time training options. We ask that you attend every training session that you are booked onto.
Full time - 4 week period (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm)
Part time - 6 week period (Tues, Wed, Thurs 6pm - 9:30pm as well as Sat & Sun 9am-5pm)
Upcoming training courses:
* 20 January (full time)
* 17 February (full time)
PLEASE NOTE - there are assessments and call audits to pass during and after your training before you commence your role.
What you'll be doing
As a 111 Health Advisor, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Manage calls from patients and healthcare professionals
* Use computer systems to capture patient information
* Communicate effectively in a healthcare environment with colleagues as well as callers
* Direct requests for assistance, care or treatment using protocols or guidelines by signposting patients/callers to the most appropriate care/service
* Be required to deal with distressing and emergency situations.
111 was created to ease pressure from 999, so it is vital that we have committed, empathetic and patient focused Health Advisors to make a difference to as many lives as possible and ensuring we provide the patient with the best assistance, service and support.
